O Holy Night
Cantique de Noël or the O holy night is the brainchild of Adolphe C. Adam, composed in 1847. It was in French and was translated to English by John Sullivan Dwight. This song has the fame of being the first music to be played on radio. The first two lines are 'Oh holy night! The stars are brightly shining, It is the night of our dear Saviour's birth.'
